Astraea Healing Connection offers distance healing in the traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki system.
All healing sessions are conducted in real time via Zoom. Sessions vary in length, depending on the client’s preferences and needs. To schedule a Reiki healing session, please complete the scheduling form

Reiki distance healing works in a subtle, yet profound way. It has the same impact as the hands-on modality. On an energy level, receiving Reiki could be compared to tuning in to a radio station, in order to pick up the desired frequency. An open mind and an open heart allow the Reiki energy to flow freely and reach its destination. The intent to send distance healing, coupled with the Reiki distance symbol: Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, serve as the vehicle through which Reiki travels. The practitioner sends Reiki through intent to the client. The energy reaches the client at the level of the subtle bodies. Through the subtle bodies it travels to the physical plane, where it is distributed and utilized. This may happen during the session, or subsequently – a few hours, even a few days later. Energy that may not have been fully absorbed at the time of the session remains available for the energy body to tap into, as needed.
Receiving Reiki Energy via Distance Healing
A Reiki healing session consists of three parts: introductory discussion with the client, receiving Reiki, and post-session feedback. The introductory discussion provides an opportunity for the client to go over information contained in the intake form, or specify areas of focus for this session – be it physical health, emotional wellbeing, or any other aspect of life that may need attention at this time. Receiving Reiki does not require a special setting – the client may be sitting, or lying down. Wearing comfortable clothing and being in a space with minimal distractions would enhance the experience. It is not recommended to drive a car, or be engaged in any activity, as receiving Reiki may lead to drowsiness, or falling asleep. Sharing post-session feedback with the client helps integrate the experience.
What to Expect During a Reiki Healing Session
During a Reiki distance healing session the energy intake happens at the level of the etheric body. This means that the energy reaches the physical body indirectly and the effect may be experienced for a few hours, or even a couple of days after the session. The body absorbs this energy in tranches, as needed. Immediate effects may vary, but they may range from deep relaxation to a sense of feeling grounded and revitalized. Each individual experiences these effects differently. Each new healing session may feel different from the one before.
What to Expect After a Reiki Healing Session
Astraea Healing Connection offers scheduling options in increments of
15 minutes. The cost ranges from $15 for a 15-minute session to $60 for a full hour. Please note that a session consists of three parts: introduction, energy healing, and feedback. The cost only applies to the energy healing portion, but for their own scheduling needs clients should estimate an additional half an hour. For example, to book a 15-minute session, please select the 15-minute option from the "Length of Session" drop-down in the booking form, but choose a 45-minute slot from the "Schedule a Session" menu. This would allow ample time for the entire session.
